What Otterly is genuinely great at.
Otterly is honestly good at being cheap. It launched in October 2024 from Vienna, stays bootstrapped and profitable-minded, was named a Gartner Cool Vendor 2025, and reports 10,000+ users[02][03]. It ships a public API and a live MCP server, which is more engineering surface than tools ten times its price offer[01].
Twenty-nine dollars is a fair price for a scoreboard. The problem it cannot see costs more.
Monitoring was never the bottleneck.
Otterly is monitoring-only. There is no crawl layer at all: no raw-versus-rendered diff, no fetch probes, no shipped fixes, no verification. Note also the engine add-on structure - on Lite, Gemini, AI Mode, and Claude are paid add-ons, so true multi-engine coverage costs more than the $29 sticker[01].
When your score is low, a monitoring tool shows you the number falling and cannot say why. The usual reasons live in the fetch: a 403 on ChatGPT-User, or a JavaScript shell the agent never renders. In 802 persisted probe runs from our production corpus (17 Aug 2026), ChatGPT-User drew 96 blocks against a browser agent's 7[05]. A scoreboard reads that as a bad month.
